Burgeis is one of the most beautiful places in the Vinschgau. There are still old, historic buildings and new buildings mainly on the edge, which disturb the overall impression of the village but not the image. Increasing village street, village square with a fountain, where St. Michael Wacht holds .... At the exit from the villages and Schleis Laatsch is the prince's castle, and about a bit higher, the brilliant white of the Benedictine monastery of Marienberg with Romanesque crypt. In the nearby medieval town Glurns, the Churburg in Schluderns, and many other cultural monuments and sights.
The spa town of Merano, only 60 km away from us, or - even better - with the new Vinschgerbahn easy to reach with the car. Also the 2750 m high Stelvio or Ofenpass with the Swiss National Park are not far away and definitely worth a trip on.
